Dawn Fishing
The fishing boats can often be seen circling above a shoal of mackerel. On a morning just after sunrise, I noticed this group near the headland off Carbis Bay with Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance.
Mixed media of acrylic, collage and oil pastel on board. Box framed 43.5 x 34.5cm. Image size 30 x 20cm
Sunshine and Brambles
The rising sun casts a golden glow on the distant headland framed by the brambles on the cliff edge where I sit to sketch
Mixed media of acrylic and collage on board. Box framed 51 x 30cm. Image size 41 x 29cm.

Elemental Flow
As you look down from the end of The Island in St Ives where the sea meets the land, the movement of the sea is ever changing. On stormy days the rocks seem tobe surrounded and enclosed by surf.
Mixed media of acrylic and collage on board. Box framed 69.5 x 59cm. Image size 50 x 40cm.
Emerging calm
As I sit on the side of the Island in St Ives and look towards Old Man's Head, the sea calms as it nears the shore but the distant waves have movement and power.
Mixed media of acrylic, collage and oil paint on board. Framed 41 x 32.5cm.

Amongst the Rocks
There is a tiny passage off the road in St Ives at the side of the building called 'The Lookout". Squeeze through and you look down into the rock pools beneath
Mixed media of acrylic and collage on board. Box framed 39 x 51cm. Image size 29 x 41cm.

Moonlit Estuary
An estuary meets the sea on a moonlit night. A painting inspired by the Hayle Estuary viewed from Lelant

Sanctuary Above the Waves

Tidal Whirl
This painting is of a favourite cove seen below the path from Porthmeor Beach towards Zennor. This began as a realistic image but as I worked towards capturing the texture of the rocks and the movement of the sea, it drifted into semi abstraction.
Mixed media of acrylic and collage on canvas board. Framed 94.5 x 64.5cm.

A Moment in Time
This is a view inspired by my walk along the southwest coastal path between Lelant and Carbis Bay. Looking out over the rolling sand dunes beyond Porthkidney Beach on a clear day Godrevy Lighthouse dominates the distant horizon
Mixed media of acrylic and collage on canvas board. Framed 94.5 x 64.5cm
Crimson Dusk enfolds The Chapel
On a clear evening a vivid sunset over Porthmeor Beach casts a crimson glow over The Island in St Ives

Held by the Horizon
The plants on the cliff top lead my eye from the end of The Island in St Ives out towards the distant lighthouse on the horizon.

Light beyond the Rain
Looking out from Porthmeor Beach across the end of The Island as the rain sweeps in across St Ives Bay. In the distance the horizon begins to lighten heralding the end of the squall.
